Always carry avalanche rescue equipment when traveling into avalanche terrain. This includes a beacon, shovel, and probe at a minimum. NEVER travel into avalanche terrain alone.

Be prepared for a multitude of challenges. The winter months provide solace and serenity, but also present a multitude of new challenges. Constantly changing weather, cold temperatures, and shorter days must be accounted for when planning a trip into the backcountry during the winter months.
